Protecting the Merrimack: A Community Talk on Water Quality and Solutions

Join Curt Rogers, Executive Director of the Merrimack River Watershed Council, and Jose Tapia, MRWC Water Quality Project Manager, for an in-depth look at the challenges and solutions facing the Merrimack River. This community talk will explore the latest data on combined sewer overflows (CSOs), progress on major remediation projects, and real-time water quality findings from a high-tech sensor in Newburyport.

Curt and Jose will also highlight key gaps in current efforts, outline what’s needed next, and share how local residents can take action to help protect the river. Come early for light refreshments and conversation—everyone who cares about the Merrimack is welcome.
