Explore Our Climate Future with the En-ROADS Simulator

  • Newburyport Public Library 94 State Street Newburyport, Massachusetts, 01950 United States (map)

Developed by Climate Interactive in partnership with MIT Sloan, En-ROADS allows participants to test the effects of climate policies—from electrifying transportation and pricing carbon to improving agriculture—and see their impacts on factors including energy prices, air quality, global temperature, and sea-level rise.

Rather than simply watching a presentation, attendees will drive the simulation themselves, testing their own ideas about which solutions matter most and seeing the results in real time. No prior knowledge of climate policy is required.

The workshop will be led by Tucker Lamothe, a senior at Pingree School in South Hamilton. Tucker has worked on sustainability projects ranging from helping the City of Melrose purchase an electric trash truck to bringing a sustainable architecture course to his school. He also developed a website that uses satellite data to model the Urban Heat Island Effect and currently serves on an advisory committee under Governor Healey’s Office of Climate Innovation and Resilience.

Tucker completed Climate Interactive’s En-ROADS facilitator training in 2025 and has since led more than seven workshops for over 100 participants, inc
